Pineapple Cucumber

Pineapple Cucumber
This is a fruit and vegetable blend that is known to hydrate and cleanse your body from toxins. Each bottle contains the juice of ¾ of a pineapple, one cucumber, and natural flavors from natural fruit and vegetable juice.

Fact
The first written record of the word “pineapple” in English was in 1398 and it was used to refer to a pine cone. It comes from the Spanish word for pine cone, “piƱa.”

In 1694, the term “pine cone” was coined to refer to pinecones instead of “pineapple” in order to allow pineapples the sole use of the word. To speed up the ripening of a pineapple, so that you can eat it sooner, stand it upside down.

You can tell is a pineapple is ripe if one of its top leaves can easily be pulled out. Unripe pineapples don’t just taste vile, but can actually be quite poisonous. Eating an unripe one can cause mouth and throat irritations and it has a strong laxative effect.

Cucumbers are a member of the gourd family along with melons, squash, and pumpkins. They are 95% water! Each pineapple plant produces one pineapple at a time. These fruits can take about 18 months to reach maturity.

Carrot Lemonade

Carrot Lemonade
This fruit and vegetable blend is rich in vitamins A, C, K and antioxidants that promote good vision and help protect against cardiovascular disease. Each bottle contains the juice of 3 ¾ carrots, 2 ½ lemons and natural flavors from natural fruit and vegetable juice.

Fact
The largest carrot ever grown was 19 pounds; grown by John Evans in 1998 in Palmer, Alaska. British gunners in WWII were able to locate and shoot down German planes at night due to the invention of radar, which the Germans knew nothing about.

To cover up the invention and extreme effectiveness of radar, the British spread about an urban legend that said that they massively increased the night vision of their pilots by having them consume large amounts of carrots.

This lie not only convinced the Germans, but also had a bonus effect of causing many British people to start planting their own vegetable gardens, including planting carrots. This urban legend has persisted even to this day.

The demand for lemons and their scurvy-preventing properties, a disease that causes bleeding gums, hit a peak during the California Gold Rush of 1849. Miners were willing to pay huge sums for a single lemon. As a result, lemon trees were planted in abundance throughout California.

It is actually possible to turn your skin a shade of orange by massively over consuming orange carrots. Orange carrots get their bright orange color from beta-carotene.

Fact
Once raspberries have been picked, they will not ripen any further. Raspberries, as well as strawberries, belong to the rose family. There are over 200 species of raspberries and can be found in four different colors: red, black, purple, and gold! Lemongrass is also called citronella.

The essential oils of this herb have been used in candles, lotions, skin remedies, medicinally, as flea and insect repellent, and much more!

The difference between raspberries and blackberries is that raspberries have a hollow core in the middle, while blackberries do not. Lemongrass is a perennial, which means you can plant it once and it will continue to come back year after year, as it may go dormant during harsh winter months. This aromatic herb can grow up to 3 feet tall.

The grass is rich in a substance called citral, the active ingredient in lemon peels. Once raspberries have been picked, they will not ripen any further.
